Natural Bug Spray

Dog-Safe Mosquito Repellent

Made with 100% pure essential oils
(Not for use on cats)

Someone gave us this recipe about 12 year ago.   We have been using it on ourselves and our dogs with great results.  The spray may need to be re-applied every 20+ minutes. Be careful not to get in the eyes, ears and mouth.

 Shake bottle before applying.

Some dogs are nervous about being sprayed.  Spraying your hands and then rubbing your dog with the repellent may help.

The best prices we found in town for the oils are at Richard’s Whole Foods.  The costs range from $3.79 to $7.99 for a 1oz bottle.

Directions:  Put five to seven drops of each oil into one cup of water in a spray bottle.  Best to make up in the spray bottle. (Prices are from Richard’s Whole Foods in Sarasota, FL August 2012)
